What was compuserve like? I never experienced compuserve or quantum link or any of those online services except for AOL back in the mid 90's when it was one of the more simpler ways to get onto the internet.

I remember trying out Compu$erve back in the mid 1980's.

It was very old feeling (comparing to BBSs at the time) and was more of a status symbol for people to have a Compu$erve account. There were a good number of people on it, but it was sort of just running on momentum at that time.

Did I mention that it was very pricy?

CompuServe was enjoyable with intelligent dialog between people. During its prime, it was filled with intelligence and smart dialog but fell to the wayside once they started going to a non-hourly subscription model.
