I also think there is something in the air. We at my home get flu circularly and I personally had moments that I couldn't manage if I feel cold or hot at nights.. I felt also terribly tired for over 2 weeks recently, for no reason... I did not connect that with COVID until somebody told me that there is some new variance spreading around.

My wife can't get rid of sore throat and nose running as symptoms that are also related to mild covid.. truth is though as it's mild we don't test each other against covid anymore. But I always advise to check temperature regularly when we get flu and if there are respiratory issues then this would be my final warning.

hey anybody get that new covid yet?

A friend contracted the rona over the past week and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the new variant.

I've not caught Covid ever (to my knowledge) and I'm a little concered in my recent time around her if I may have contracted it. She kept masked so hopefully the chances were kept low but you never know till, well, you know. :|

I am just curious if anyone on Dovenet is like myself?!?! Although I employ cellular technology for emergency means... Like if my truck breaks down, I have a flip phone.

Has anyone else besides myself never bought or owned a idiotphone/smartphone as they are called and just we will leave it at that.

Just was wondering, or Mro do I hold the current world record for never joining the whole atmosphere of never being part of the idiotphone revolution?!?!?!

My son has it - says it feels like a bad cold. This is his second time
around, he and I had it in the summer of 2022. That was a high fever
for 3-5 days and a horrible sore throat.

I don't know if you're most contagious before symptoms show, but you
are contagious usually 48 hours beforehand - at least that's what I
was told when I got it, and when I entered everything into the CDC
    site for tracking.

i had delta and omnicron. basically how it started it you get a cough that doesnt bother you and it's real light. then whatever happens, happens.

i'm pretty sure before and during that cough period is when you are most contagious.

the dude at work has gone home multiple times and he's off again. i wonder if he finally tested positive for it. before they were telling him to come in.
i feel like crap and i've been sweating like i did during the end of covid. i sweat my deodorant off and i have the 72 hr kind. by the end of the day my deodorant is gone.

Man, I didn't think much about it, but after COVID a couple years ago, I was literally sleeping 12-16 hours a day for about 4 months after... the past few days have been similar, but really didn't notice a fever or cold/flu like symptoms. A well as a little short of breath the other night. Might have gotten wammied again.

Very similar here, about a week of heavy flu, followed by about 4 months of literally sleeping more hours than awake. I don't remember feeling ill in the past week, but definitely feeling sleepy like the long-covid followup.
