Many of us are aware of fTelnet. fTelnet has been around for years as an HTML widget (and Flash before that), which allows sysops to put a telnet widget on their BBS web page.

I think the Android fTelnet app works relatively well, though the display is quite small in portrait mode (where both the display and keyboard can fit on the screen, at least on my phone). When in landscape mode, the display is easier to read, but the keyboard takes up a lot of the display space.

ya theres a aetting to change the landscape keyboard to another mode but everything you said is spot on

i have a 5.5" display on my phone and i cant go any bigger for comfort reasons.

ftelnet does a good job of rendering but i cant really use it on my phone.
it's not ftelnet's fault. it's probably best for tablets.

It's almost usable on a tablet. I have it on the ipad and I can use
it in a pinch, but when I still ran MagickaBBS I would use the web
interface instead as it was just a bit easier. (Keyboard takes up too
much screen space is the issue)

I use a client that uses all the protocols and I save profiles for the different services. It's called juicessh. It has plugins that add power to the tool. There are options, just saying.
