Only for those of us who are using GUI clients. Especially for the FTN clones that are more agressive on evolving the readers with ANSI, MCI, PipeCodes, and now MIME embedded attachments.
Like the discussion of ^aCOLS:, where I could see it being useful for those of use with GUI knowing to do:
(a) Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
(b) Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed
*If* it becomes too much for people to handle in their readers, I will
add logic to my tosser to filer it out of @fidonet stream. ;-)

This is an example of when it is USEFUL - this renders perfectly on my side! And it will for others who are using non-TELNET clients.

Just clarifying why my software is denoting the MIME version. ;-p
Of course, I have never seen anyone talking about improving MIME, so
v1.0 statement is kinda useless until there is a 1.1 or 2.0.
there is documentation in the FTSC libraries that talks about MIME... check the Type 3 and Type 10 packet proposals... there may be other docs that mention MIME as well... if you don't have it yet, i'd get the whole libraryto
local media and then it is a lot easier to grep and look over...
