British Airways takes the Airbus A380 back into service. To start with, four aircraft will be removed from the mothballs, which will be deployed on flights within Europe from November and then fly intercontinentally.
By opening the US borders to fully vaccinated travelers, British Airways sees the demand for tickets to the US growing. That is why the A380 is being taken off the shelf again, to operate scheduled flights from London to Los Angeles and Miami. Dubai will also receive the A380 soon.
British Airways has a total of twelve A380s, which were temporarily redundant due to the corona crisis and are parked at various airports.
