Emirates will start the long-awaited scheduled service between Dubai and Tel Aviv on December 6. From then on, the airline will fly daily with a Boeing 777-300ER between the two cities.
It was unthinkable for decades for political reasons that regular passenger flights would operate between Israel and the United Arab Emirates: the latter country did not recognize Israel. But that changed last year and the ties have been tightened ever since.
Emirates is not the first. Since the historic agreement between Israel and the UAE, Etihad, El Al and FlyDubai have already started operating flights between these countries.
