Just aquired a weird rugar mkii that is the size of a mkiii but the mag release is same as a mkii at the bottom instead of a button like a 1911. new to these particular guns. curious what others have out there that they like to plink with for .22. up untill now ive had a collection of .22 revolvers from 5 shot to 8shot. this is my first mag loading .22 im wanting a llamma mini 1911 .22 but i took what i could get, hopefully i can shoot this rugar this week and see what its like

A friend has either an mkii or mkiii that I like to plink with. I have a
Ruger 10/22 rifle that I enjoy. I also have a couple of break-barrel
springer pellet rifles in .22 and .25 that are fun to plink with.

I had to sell my 10/22 and I miss it. I am going to see if my BIL will
allow me to purchase my Mossberg 20-gauge pump shotgun back from him (had to sell it to make rent years ago).

.22 Magnums havve a deeper penetration than a .38 Special, believe it or
not.

I have not looked at pressures for .22 magnum yet but i shot my North American Arms .22/.22Magnum Black widow yesterday evening, the concussion from it was pretty crazy,i was not expecting that kind of pressure, the recoil was minimal too. I have a 6 shot H&R revolver that shoots LR and Magnums too. havent tried it on magnums yet but will here in the future since it has peaked my interest.

I haven't been able to sahoot a pistol in years due to advancecd diabetic neuropathy (unable to feel much in my hands). For home defense, I do have a Mossberg 500 20-gauge pump "youth" (smaller length) shotgun for home
defense.

That should be plenty enough to make anyone sorry they broke in. Being
smaller in length is a plus, IMHO, in an enclosed area like a home.
